Pure Cinema in its Most Concise, Powerful Form.
Kiru Chitra (ಕಿರು ಚಿತ್ರ — meaning "Short Film" in Kannada) is an ad-free, theater-grade streaming platform dedicated exclusively to award-winning independent short cinema, festival laureates, and visionary storytelling.
Born from a Passion for Uncompromised Storytelling.
Founded in Bengaluru, Karnataka by Bhitthichitra Cinemas, Kiru Chitra was born out of a stark realization: short films are where directors take their boldest creative risks, yet they are routinely buried under algorithmic content feeds or stuck behind festival circuit walls.
We built Kiru Chitra to give short masterworks the theatrical reverence they deserve — providing festival-grade visual fidelity, calibrated sound standards, and a direct financial reward for the auteurs behind the camera.
The Festival Experience at Home

The Kiru Chitra Standard
90% Direct Creator Share
We believe filmmakers must be compensated directly. 90% of every ticket purchased goes straight to the filmmaker's verified bank account, empowering them to finance their next cinematic project.
Forensic Dynamic Anti-Piracy DRM
Creators trust us with their life's work. Every screening session is protected with dynamic cryptographic forensic markers to eliminate digital piracy and unauthorized distribution.
Rigorous Technical Quality Control
Every master undergoes calibrated inspection via our proprietary Kiru Chitra QC Studio, enforcing strict EBU R128 (-24.0 LUFS) audio loudness calibration and full-gamut 4K/1080p rendering.
Pay-Per-View Cinema Passes
No monthly recurring subscription traps. Viewers pay only for the films they want to watch (e.g. ₹29, ₹39) and receive an uninterrupted 48-hour screening pass.
